A New CEO for Forssa Print
Matti Käki, M. Sc. (Tech.), will take his position as the new CEO of Forssa Print on February 1, 2011.
Käki has formerly worked as Unit Director in Hansaprint Oy and as CEO of Hansaprint Direct Oy.
Forssan Kirjapaino Granted PEFC Certificate
Forssan Kirjapaino Oy has been granted a PEFC-CoC certificate. The certificate guarantees that the raw material of the paper we use comes from controlled origins.
The PEFC certificate and the right to use a forest certification label on their products can be granted to a printing house that has a certified system for monitoring the origin on forest based wood raw material. The system tracks the wood flows used in the company’s products from the production chain back to certified forests.Â
The customer can add a PEFC label on their printed matter, if the product is printed on certified paper in a certified printing house. The customer also receives a PEFC documentation with the finished product.
A New Printing Press for the Tampere Factory
Forssan Kirjapaino Group has ordered for the Tampere factory a new B1-format 5-color Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 -printing press with a coating unit. The new press will replace the old Speedmaster CD 102 approximately in December 2010.
Speedmaster XL 105 represents the newest generation of printing presses. It has a fully automatic inline color and register control system and its maximum speed is 18.000 rounds per hour.
Acta Print and Forssan Kirjapaino to Become Forssa Print
Forssan Kirjapaino Group’s printing services that consist of Acta Print Oy and Forssan Kirjapaino Oy introduce a new company name. From 1.10.2010 our name is Forssa Print.
Forssan Kirjapaino Oy Gets The Nordic Ecolabel
Forssan Kirjapaino Oy has been granted The Nordic Ecolabel (the Swan label).
With eco-labeled printed matter, we want to offer our customers a chance to follow their environmental principles and also make them known to their customers.
Products carrying the Swan label meet extremely high environmental standards. The Swan takes into consideration the product's impact on the environment from the raw material to waste - i.e. throughout the product's lifecycle. The Swan also sets criteria with regard to quality and performance.
Also Acta Print Oy is committed to follow the requirements of The Nordic Ecolabel.
Acta Print Oy Becomes a Certified Printing House
Acta Print Oy was granted SFS-ISO 14001 environmental certificate on 12.2.2009. According to the standard the company adheres to environmental legislation and official stipulations. It also makes sure that the personnel has sufficient information about the environmental effects of it’s work. The whole personnel takes responsibility for minimizing the strains to the environment.
In it’s operations Acta Print Oy adheres to the principle of continuous improvement and develops it’s operations for example by investing in new environmental friendly technology.
Acta Print Oy is also committed to follow the requirements of The Nordic Ecolabel (The Swan Logo) and of the SFS-ISO 9001 quality management system standard. This indicates consistent, persistent and qualitative work for the environment.
Also Forssan Kirjapaino Oy has the SFS-ISO 14001 environmental certificate granted by Det Norske Veritas.
